![]() bathroom needed some serious plumbing work. ![]() Bathroom door missed a latch which makes the sun goes straight into the room. Unfortunately it wasn't due to: * Very slow buggy service. As a Saudi national, this was my first ever touristic and was happy to shell out around 2K usd for a 2-day stay in exchange for a memorable stay. However, the experience was far from great. The hotel, and its properties looks great. Habitas seems to be geared more towards a younger crowd, so maybe this was the look the resort is going for. If I had one minor subjective complaint is that the staff all wore casual clothes - maybe track suits? This gave the restaurant, which was absolutely gorgeous, a slightly less upscale feel. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and quick to show up at our bungalow if we had any questions. The pool was open, but not heated (it will be heated once the heater if fixed), and while the pool looked spectacular, it was a bit too cold in the evening for a dip (it got into the 40s during our December visit). There is a fairly long walk between the bungalow, restaurant the reception area, so we usually grabbed a passing buggy (of which there were many). We didn't try the spa or fitness center, but they looked well-equipped. For example, ground level trampolines in one of the finger canyons were an unusual touch. This is a "eco" resort, and so the focus is on well-being. We only had dinner and drinks there, but everything we had was fantastic. And stargazing was exceptional, at least for us amateurs. The valley itself is very quiet, with no outside noise what so ever. The blending of the interior and exterior was so peaceful and calming. The eco-bungalows were esquisitely designed - something out of architectural digest. The setting in the Ashar Valley is out of this world. We spent two days at Habitas, and everything was absolutely fantastic. This is a unique and authentic part of the world and I suggest getting here before the word gets out! Since its still a young resort there are some things they will likely improve upon like the timing of the buggy service and providing more information about the wellness and amenities before arrival so a guest can plan ahead. The resort is part of a exclusive area that includes the Maraya concert hall and its close to al ula town where most the experiences take place or start. The resort can feel private and exclusive while at the same time seeing families climb into the desert hills was entertaining. The food at the restaurant was well prepared, fresh and with many healthy choices. Swings up in the hills of the rocks, trampolines buried in the sand in hidden valleys, and plenty of areas to explore. There are unique experiences and instagram opportunities all thru out the resort for us and kids to enjoy. I also took advantage of the on site chiropractic therapy and was very pleased. We didn’t realize the extent of the wellness facilities from the website and were again surprised at the menu at the spa and the free classes held every day for workouts and meditation/yoga. The weather was perfect and we took advantage of the stargazing with the provided telescope. We stayed in a celestial villa and enjoyed the space, view and proximity to the restaurant, pool and spa/gym from Villa 57. While the finer details still beed to be smoothed out the overall experience was 5 star. We came in for two nights and were pleasantly surprised how stunning the location is and the service and amenities are top notch.
